Los cables de bujía pertenecen al sistema de encendido del vehículo y tienen como misión garantizar una chispa o salto eléctrico que permita realizar la combustión en cada ciclo del motor y al mismo tiempo evitar el flujo de señales electromagnéticas de alta frecuencia (SEAF) que puedan afectar el correcto funcionamiento de los equipos electrónicos del motor (sistemas de sensores, ECU, accesorios, alarmas, entre otros). Una chispa correcta (en tiempo e intensidad) garantiza un máximo rendimiento, ahorro de combustible, reducción de emisiones contaminantes y mejor desempeño del vehículo.
Generalmente los cables de bujía se fabrican bajos dos gamas. Cables resistivos y cables inductivos. Los cables resistivos se fabrican con una resistencia por metro de entre 9500 a 28000 Ohm / m. Una resistencia muy baja no evitara que las SEAF afecten el funcionamiento de los componentes eléctricos del vehículo, mientras que una resistencia muy alta en el cable disminuirá considerablemente la intensidad de la chispa y por ende la eficiencia del encendido del vehículo. AYG suministra tubería en diversos materiales (tubing en poliuretano, nylon, polietileno, silicona) para cubrir todas las necesidades y exigencias del mercado actual en conducción de fluidos (líquidos y gaseosos). Las mangueras en poliuretano, se utilizan en la mayoría de procesos de automatización de la industria para el transporte o conducción de fluidos, en especial de aire (neumática) y agua. El poliuretano reúne las mejore características de un caucho y de un plástico en un solo componente, pues tiene una gran flexibilidad, resistencia a la abrasión, excelente resistencia mecánica a bajas y elevadas temperaturas (temperatura de servicio entre -20°C y 80°C), excelente resistencia a las grasas y aceites e intemperie. Los tubos calibrados A&G (tubing para aire o tubing neumática), se fabrican bajo estrictos controles metrológicos, por lo que se garantiza un espesor de pared y diámetros uniformes en todo el producto. El espesor de pared es esencial en aplicaciones que requieren presurización, pues de él y de la temperatura de trabajo dependerá la máxima presión de estallamiento del tubo.
